President Erdoğan met with leaders in Antalya

Antalya Diplomacy Forum, held from April 11-13 under the auspices of President Erdoğan and hosted by Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, welcomed 21 heads of state and government among 6,000+ attendees from 155 countries, including 64 ministers.

President Erdoğan conducted intensive diplomatic meetings with heads of state and government during the forum, sharing Turkey's messages and expectations regarding ending Israel's attacks on Gaza, developments in Syria, counter-terrorism efforts, and establishing lasting peace in Ukraine.

At the 4th Antalya Diplomacy Forum, held at the NEST Congress Center with the theme "Embracing diplomacy in a divided world," Erdoğan met with the heads of state of Azerbaijan, Montenegro, Kosovo, Syria, Sierra Leone, Somalia, and Sudan, as well as the prime ministers of Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Palestine, Qatar, Libya, Hungary, and the President of the Iraqi Kurdish Regional Administration.

First meeting with Azerbaijan

On the first day of the forum, Erdoğan first met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, stating that Turkey and Azerbaijan would continue taking steps to advance cooperation in many areas, particularly energy, transportation, and defense industry.

President Erdoğan noted that the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia was satisfactory, adding that Turkey wishes to see Azerbaijan as the architect of peace in the South Caucasus, and that Turkey carefully continues its normalization process with Armenia.

After Aliyev, Erdoğan met with Montenegro's President Jakov Milatovic, stating that taking new reciprocal steps to develop cooperation between Turkey and Montenegro would be beneficial, with a primary goal of increasing trade volume.

Following his meeting with Milatovic, Erdoğan met with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, affirming Turkey's determination to develop relations with Kosovo in all areas, noting that the two countries are approaching their €1 billion trade volume target, which could be raised to €3 billion.

Meeting with Syrian President Shara

Erdoğan met with Syrian President Ahmed Shara, expressing Turkey's satisfaction with preventing those who want to create chaos in Syria again from having the opportunity, and stated that the coming years would be years of stability, prosperity, and peace in Syria.

Erdoğan stated that Turkey would continue its diplomatic efforts to lift international sanctions against Syria, emphasizing the need to increase efforts to revitalize cooperation in trade and economic areas, and noting that steps to be taken in other areas could also be evaluated.

President Erdoğan pointed out that Turkey would continue to provide support for Syria's return to stability, as it has done until now.

"Cooperation with Libya will continue to develop in all areas"

Receiving Libyan Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dibeybe, President Erdoğan expressed that Turkey attaches importance to Libya's peace and security, and will continue to develop cooperation with Libya in all areas.

Erdoğan also stated that Turkey and Libya would maintain close contact to protect their common interests in the Eastern Mediterranean.

After receiving Dibeybe, President Erdoğan met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

Erdoğan stated that cooperation between Turkey and Hungary is strengthening, and that deepening relations with new steps in areas such as economy, trade, energy, and defense industry would be in the common interest of both countries. He emphasized that Turkey-European Union relations should be developed for Europe's security and prosperity, and that continued contacts on this issue are important.

President Erdoğan reminded that Turkey has maintained its principled stance from the beginning for establishing a fair and lasting peace in Ukraine.

"Solidarity with Turkey in the fight against terrorist organizations" message

After his meeting with Orban, Erdoğan received Iraqi Kurdish Regional Administration President Nechirvan Barzani, stating that solidarity between Turkey and the regional administration in the fight against terrorist organizations is important, and that Turkey wants the Kurdish Regional Administration to benefit maximally from the Development Road Project.

Erdoğan conveyed that the swift completion of the government formation process in Northern Iraq is important for the region's stability, and that the situation in Kirkuk is being closely monitored by Turkey.

After receiving Barzani, President Erdoğan met with Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.

Erdoğan noted that Qatar's mediating role in regional tensions is valuable, that efforts continue for the re-establishment of a ceasefire in Gaza, and expressed that Turkey develops its relations with Qatar in all areas within the framework of brotherhood.

Second day contacts

As part of his contacts on the second day of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, President Erdoğan had breakfast with Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency Council Chair and Serb member Zeljka Cvijanovic, Croat member Zeljko Komsic, and Bosniak member Denis Becirovic.

During the meeting, Erdoğan noted that Turkey attaches importance to maintaining stability in the Balkans and preserving Bosnia and Herzegovina's territorial integrity, sovereignty, and constitutional order. He expressed that Turkey expects the current crisis to be overcome with minimal damage and that a broad-based consensus with the participation of all segments would prevail to prevent the recurrence of past sufferings in Bosnia and Herzegovina, adding that Turkey's support would continue.

After meeting with the Council members, Erdoğan received Bulgarian Prime Minister Rosen Jelyazkov, pointing out that efforts would continue to diversify and deepen cooperation between Turkey and Bulgaria in many areas, particularly defense industry and energy.

Erdoğan noted that the continuation of solidarity between Turkey and Bulgaria in counter-terrorism is important, and that steps are expected from Bulgaria in the coming period.

After his meeting with Jelyazkov, Erdoğan met with Sierra Leone President Julius Maada Bio, expressing that they are working to develop relations with Sierra Leone in all areas, especially defense industry, and stated that Turkey continues its cooperation with African countries with a "win-win" approach, which will continue.

After his meeting with Bio, President Erdoğan hosted Sudan Sovereignty Council Chairman Abdel Fattah al-Burhan.

In his meeting with Burhan, Erdoğan expressed satisfaction with the developing cooperation between Turkey and Sudan, emphasized that Turkey would provide support for Sudan's reconstruction and normalization after the end of conflicts, and stressed that preserving Sudan's territorial integrity and sovereignty is important for Turkey.

"Two-state solution is the only way out in the Israel-Palestine issue"

After his meeting with Burhan, Erdoğan received Palestinian Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Mohammed Mustafa, stating that the only way out in the Israel-Palestine issue is a two-state solution, and that Turkey continues its efforts both to stop Israeli attacks on Palestinian territories, particularly Gaza, and to ensure lasting peace.

Erdoğan said that Turkey would never accept the displacement of the people of Gaza and would continue to stand by Gaza with humanitarian aid.

After his meeting with Al Thani, Erdoğan received Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, expressing his belief that Turkey and Georgia would further advance their friendship and cooperation in all areas in the coming period, and that Turkey wants the "Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway Line" to operate at full capacity.

President Erdoğan also stated that Turkey would continue to support Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty.

In his final meeting within the scope of the forum, President Erdoğan met with Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, emphasizing that they are working to develop Turkey-Somalia relations and would continue to take steps to increase cooperation between the two countries.

Erdoğan stated that he attaches importance to Somalia achieving national reconciliation in unity, togetherness, and solidarity, and that Turkey would continue its support.
